Amazon to Launch Kindle for Textbooks
Amazon are working with six American universities to trial a new “academic” kindle with a much larger screen more suited to text books and journal articles. The devices will come preloaded with several textbooks (having negotiated with the publishers) and Amazon hope to compare the experience of students with and without the new devices. The trial should occur in this year in the northern Autumn.
